Almond Joy NutriBlast


I recently had the pleasure of reuniting with a few friends from my youth and it was requested that I bring a dessert to our potluck. Well, since I no longer eat sugar and prefer not to encourage consumption of sugary foods, but respect those who wish to enjoy them, I decided to try something a little creative with my NutriBullet. I received great feedback and I am happy to report that my friends enjoyed the drink so much, they have joined the NutriBullet family of blasters!

Back in the day when I used to eat sugary foods, one of my favorite treats was the Almond Joy candy bar. There is something magical about the combination of coconut, dark chocolate and almonds!

Now that I am a devoted NutriBullet Blastinista, I have come up with a recipe to help me relive some of my favorite childhood treats while gaining the nutritional benefits of the ingredients. Not only is this a delicious drink for adults and for entertaining, I think this one will be a great way to expose the younger crowd to the nutritional benefits of NutriBlasts.

Almond Joy NutriBlast

  • Handful of rinsed spinach
  • ½ celery stalk
  • ½ banana
  • 1 tablespoon of raw, organic, unsweetened shredded coconut
  • Small handful of raw, organic almonds
  • 1 tablespoon of raw cacao nibs
  • 1 teaspoon of chia seeds and or hemp seeds

Fill to max line with either coconut water or non-dairy coconut milk and extract!
