Aspartame-Induced Fibromyalgia
7New case reports show that the common sugar substitute aspartame may be linked to chronic fibromyalgia pain. Simply removing it from one’s diet may ease long-term discomfort. Have a look at what Dr. Michael Greger of NutritionFacts.org has to say.

I don’t know of an artificial sweetener w/o side effects. They all affect everyone differently. Still not using Splenda. Still no pain.
No pain thats great keep it up remember each chemical that is ingested will affect each person different you have to see what works best for you.
I bet my finger and foot pain were due to this. Thought I had arthritis in my fingers and a foot injury due to running (my foot never hurt while running mind you). I stopped drinking caffeinated soda and coffee which I sweetened w/Splenda and noticed the pain immediately went away. So for the past few months I’ve attributed the pain to caffeine, until I saw this in the doc’s tweet over the weekend. Thanks for the post.
@Carrie – Aspartame is Equal, and is found in Diet Pepsi/Diet Coke. The brand name Splenda is actually made with sucralose and does not have aspartame.
PLUS SPLENDA has ARSENIC in it!
Splenda does not contain aspartame. It has sucralose. Two completely different molecules.
Try Stevia its all natural herb or local raw honey…
