Black Bean Salsa


Feeling hot hot hot…. is another way of saying “Salsa.” Nothing beats fresh salsa and chips on game day. Just like other famous duos; Sherlock & Watson, Sonny & Cher, Sponge Bob & Patrick, they are meant for one another. This appetizer is a natural for the big game or a small get together. Once your guest dig in, they wont be able to get enough.


  • 2 Cup tomatoes rough chopped
  • ½ Cup red onion chopped
  • 1 Small jalapeno seeded and chopped
  • ¼ Cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 Clove garlic
  • 3 T fresh lime juice
  • 1 Tsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Cup of black beans


Combine all ingredients, except black beans into the large NB cup.  Pulse until smooth.  Stir in black beans and serve with tortilla chips.  I prefer the whole-wheat kind.

I have used this recipe on several occasions, and it never fails satisfy.  There is always someone who tells me how “delicioso” it is.  Plus, making it in the NutriBulIet takes a fraction of the time with less to clean up.  As usual, please feel free to take creative liberties with this recipe.
