Carrot Breakfast Blast

Carrots are one of the most popular vegetables in the world and especially around this time of year! They’re packed with nutrition, they’re tasty and are they’re perfect cooked, steamed, baked, or eaten entirely raw. They’re available all year round, but what’s better in the fall than a sweet, orange tuber?

Carrots are very rich in vitamin A, great for vision and the immune and reproductive systems. With this crunchy, orange powerfood, you get 204 percent of your daily dose of vitamin A, plus a dose of vitamins C, B3, B6, E and K. They’re also great for skin health and are low in calories.

But you know the best way to enjoy a good carrot this season? In your next NutriBlast! The delicate flavor compliments almost any fruit or veggie. Despite the hard fibrous texture, carrots extract nicely in the NutriBullet.

Here’s one of my favorite carrot Blasts – now you have no excuse for not eating your carrots!

Carrot Blast
  • 1 medium carrot with skin washed and chunked
  • ½ cup frozen pineapple
  • ½ cup of frozen mango
  • large handful of spinach or other leafy greens
  • 1 cup of non-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • coconut water to the max line
  1. Add all ingredients to the tall NutriBullet cup and extract until smooth.

For variety, try adding other fruits and leafy greens with carrots. An orange-lemon-lime combination is a good mixture, too. The possibilities are endless!

Green Apple Blast

Green NutriBlasts make delicious and healthy snacks, but they can be used as meal replacements, too. They’re a perfect way of consuming your daily allowance of fruits and veggies, plus a few extra antioxidants, nutrients, and vitamins that your body is probably isn’t accustomed to. Plus, both fruits and veggies are a great way to help your body detox from those pesky toxins you ingest on a daily basis. Recently, they’ve become very popular, especially with people trying to lose weight or lead a healthier life style.

Have you ever used apples in your Blast? It’s apple season and they happen to be one of the most popular fruits in the world. They make a good base and will compliment any type of Blast, the greener the better! My apple of choice is sweet and tart – the lovely Granny Smith. A medium size apple contains only 80 calories, a ton of vitamins and a lot of natural fiber. I love to use this little green guy for pies, muffins and especially in my Blast.

  • 1 Granny Smith apple with skin, sliced and cored
  • 1 cup of green grapes
  • 1 carrot with skin, diced
  • Large handful of spinach
  • 3 ice cubes
  • Water to line


  1. Add all ingredients to the NutriBullet cup and extract until smooth.

No need to peel the apple or carrot! Their skin actually contains a lot of nutrients and fiber; just be sure to scrub thoroughly before using.

This drink is a gorgeous shade of green. It’s also the freshest, fastest way to eat your fruits and veggies – in the form of a NutriBlast. Don’t forget the old saying, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away!”

Frozen Mojito

I just discovered the coolest, most refreshing drink – the frozen mojito! It is so simple and easy and you can whip up a batch in your NutriBullet. Mojitos are my mixed drink of choice when I go to a restaurant. I love the taste of the simple sugar mixed with fresh mint and lime. However, those sugary calories can add up.

Lately, I’ve been cutting back on alcohol for my health’s sake. It fills me up and makes me feel bloated, so I’m trying to fill my body up with healthier foods. This way I crave less of the bad stuff and save room for the green stuff!

Problem solved! I created a frozen mojito with the same delicious flavor as a regular version, but in the form of a healthy, whole food NutriBlast.

Frozen Mojito


  • ½ cup of fresh mint
  • 1 lime peeled and sectioned
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • 3 ice cubes
  • club soda to the max line
  • dash of honey or agave – optional


Add all ingredients to your large NutriBullet cup and extract until smooth. Pour into two glasses and garnish with fresh mint and lime. This recipe is made without rum, but please feel free to add a little if needed.


Mint and lime give the Blast its mojito taste. Both have strong flavors so be careful not to add too much. Spinach adds substance and a nice green color to the Blast. The frozen banana adds a natural mild sweetness to the drink and gives it a great consistency. If you want, add a touch of honey or agave to make it sweeter.

Green Blast still get a bad rep and sound weird to some people. Well, green drinks are not just for the super healthy, anymore! You’ll never believe that this super delicious tropical concoction is actually a healthy green Blast in disguise. Throwing a party? This mojito is the perfect drink recipe for all occasions.

I love to see the seasons change and autumn is a wonderful time of year. There is just something so natural and earthy about the fall season. Apples and leaves fall from the trees and the colors of vibrant reds, oranges, greens, and browns are brought to the forefront in nature and even in fashion.

And delicious new foods like squash, pumpkin, pecans, walnuts, apple cider, nutmeg, vanilla, and cinnamon are available to enhance my culinary delights. Have you tried using these in your NutriBlasts? There is nothing more soothing than a pumpkin smoothie with walnuts, raw honey, nutmeg, and almond milk.

Cacao nibs or cacao powder can also give a Blast a deep flavor that is absolutely incredible. It’s a little too decadent to have every day for me, so I save my cacao nibs and powder for the times when I need an extra special treat.

This time of year brings a great opportunity to try new Blast recipes or enhance a favorite recipe with something new and different. The internet is full of ideas! I’ve found many recipes online by searching or browsing that have inspired my own inventions. They are also books on juicing that I use for inspiration. Instead of juicing the produce, I extract them in the NutriBullet. Even a quick glance at a picture can inspire a great tasting NutriBlast.

Fall Pumpkin Blast


  • 1 handful spinach
  • 1 cup cooked pumpkin
  • 1 Tbsp raw, organic honey
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • Almond milk to MAX line


Blast for 30 seconds, or until smooth.
