Delicious Low-Guilt NutriBullet Desserts

As a recovering sugar-holic, I enjoy trying out healthy dessert style recipes in my NutriBullet. Even though the holidays are over and the winter season is already over, there is no reason why we can’t still enjoy traditional desserts. In this case, they’re not only easy to prepare, they’re low on the guilt scale. Here are two dessert recipes, the NutriBullet way…

apple spice

Apple and Blueberry Spice Pie

  • 1 apple-cut up with seeds removed
  • 1 small handful of rinsed blueberries
  • 1 cup of either nondairy or regular Almond milk
  • 1/3 cup of rolled or regular oats (gluten free if preferred)
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon cinnamon-depends upon your taste
  • 5 raw walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1 pinch of Nutmeg
  • 1 packet of Stevia or other sweetener, if desired
  • Can top off with a little spoonful of non-dairy whipped topping
  • 3-4 ice cubes

  1. Blend all ingredients except nutmeg & whipped topping for up to 40 seconds in your NutriBullet. Top off with whipped topping and a pinch of Nutmeg. Note: This is a fairly thick and filling drink.

Another one of my favorites is this incredibly simple recipe:

Banana Chocolate Cream Smoothie

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tablespoon of Cacao Nibs or 4 squares of 70% or more dark chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1 cup of either non-dairy or regular Almond Milk
  • 3-4 ice cubes
  • Can top off with a little spoonful of non-dairy whipped topping

  1. Blend all ingredients except whipped topping for up to 40 seconds. If using cacao nibs, there will be a little crunch to this drink. Add whip topping after blending.
