Detox Blast

Now that the holidays are over and all of the houseguests are gone, it’s time to start getting back on track. This means getting back to the normal routine – fruits, vegetables and lots of exercise. In other words, it’s time to begin my holiday detox. There is always the same nagging question, though, “What do I do with all the cakes and cookies? What about all the leftover candy, desserts, champagne?”

This year, I discovered the best way to control my urge to eat everything at once and return to my normal diet: I concocted a “Detox Nutriblast.” It helped cleanse my body of sugar and was refreshing at the same time. I love this one first thing in the morning after my workouts.

Detox Blast

  • ½ Cucumber
  • ½ Cup Pineapple
  • 1 Apple cored and cut
  • ½ lemon juiced
  • Large handful of spinach
  • ½ Avocado
  • Handful of raw almonds
  • 3 – 4 ice cubes
  • Water to line

Add all ingredients in the large NutriBullet cup and extract. Please feel free take creative liberties.

I made this Blast every morning for three days and I’m happy to say my digestive track is no longer singing the blues. I‘m not craving those sugars from the holidays, either! Thanks to the NutriBullet and my Detox Blast for helping get me back to my normal routine.
