Orange Cranberry NutriBlast

Summer is fading and the crisp fall season is taking hold. It’s the time of year to transition from summer fruit to autumn berries. When I think of fall, one fruit comes to mind: cranberries. Every autumn, cranberries are picked at the peak of freshness and sent to market. They are juicy, flavorful and fresh as can be. This is a perfect opportunity to not only take advantage of the fresh cranberry season, but of the numerous health benefits they offer.

I am not a health expert, but I can tell you that cranberries are full of antioxidants, the things that protect our cells from free radical damage. From fighting against heart disease and viral infections to combating women’s health issues, the medicinal properties of cranberries are endless.

This is a perfect smoothie for this autumn season. It’s a little sweet mixed with tart and packed with a whole lot of antioxidants.
