Resolutions: Accomplishing Your Goals Through Action0
This is the time of year when a lot of us look at our accomplishments in life and start to make some necessary adjustments. Personally, I don’t like the word resolution. It sounds too stiff, inflexible and boring! I much prefer the phrase long-term goal.
Like most people, I have a lot of goals to accomplish. Some of these are too much to take on in just one year, but when I break them down into smaller goals and create an action plan, I’m more successful in getting them accomplished down the road. I try not to get too crazy about the details, but a little structure is essential.
One of my goals is to get a NutriBullet Rx so I can fulfill my goal of making 12 delicious soups this year. It’s healthful, divide-and-conquerable, and with one soup to make each month, it’s definitely manageable!
Before I started making my NutriBlasts, I knew there were a few things I needed to learn to do on a consistent basis, such as buying produce and actually eating it! I also needed to learn how to clean and store my produce properly and schedule time each morning for my NutriBlasts. That was important for me to get down, especially on busy mornings. I started setting my clothes out the night before and discovered that this way, I had plenty of time to make my NutriBlasts every morning.
Little by little, I started buying nuts and seeds that I could add to my NutriBlasts, learning more about them and including them in my Blasts daily. First almonds and sunflower seeds. Later, I added walnuts, pecans, and Brazil nuts to my rotation.
My last NutriBullet goal was to find a way to purchase my food without breaking the bank every month.
Little did I know that Blasting would give me the energy I needed to tackle the other goals on my list throughout the year. Action plans require energy – focused energy. I was able to get that energy from my NutriBlasts. It was a productive circle of accomplishment and I was tackling those items on my list one by one.
Now – it all begins again! I’m on the smoothie bandwagon and the results are tangible. When I think of working on my goals for the days, weeks, months, and year now, I drink my NutriBlast and dive right in.
